Some of our favorite nights happen right here on the grounds. Every month, we host three recurring evening events the whole community looks forward to:
All events run from 6:00–8:00 PM. Mark your calendar and make it a tradition!
SEPTEMBER 5, 2026
🍉 End-of-Summer Cookout
End-of-summer never felt so sweet. Cool off with ice-cold watermelon and chilled water features while the grill fires up burgers and hot dogs. Grab a bag of chips, find your spot, and let September slow everything down just the way it should.
🎸 Live Concert: Hunnter Merritt
Same day, same great spot. Hunter Merritt takes the stage for a live evening performance. Stick around after the cookout to enjoy the music under the September sky.
Note: Both events take place on the same day. Pair the cookout in the afternoon with Hunter Merritt’s concert in the evening for a full end-of-summer celebration at Okefenokee Pastimes.
OCTOBER 2026 – Something wicked this way comes and it comes with a grand relaunch. We’re reopening bigger and bolder with a haunted trail that’ll have your heart racing. Thrills, chills, and unforgettable scares await around every corner.
NOVEMBER 26, 2026 – A table this good deserves to be shared. Come together for our Thanksgiving Dinner, a feast built on gratitude, warmth, and the kind of food that makes you loosen your belt and stay just a little longer. All are welcome at this table
DECEMBER 2026
25 – End the year the way it deserves in celebration. Our Christmas Dinner brings warmth, wonder, and a spread worth savoring. Then ring in the New Year with the people who matter most. Here’s to another year of memories made together

We are just tickled pink to welcome back our Sisters on the Fly! Sisters on the Fly is the largest women’s outdoor adventure organization in the United States, bringing together over 6,500 spirited women from all 50 states and beyond. Founded in 1999 by two real-life sisters with a love of fly fishing and the open road, this remarkable sisterhood has grown into a nationwide movement built on camaraderie, adventure, and the pure joy of getting outside.
From camping and hiking to horseback riding and their beloved vintage camper restorations, these ladies know how to have a good time and their motto says it all: “We have more fun than anyone.” We couldn’t agree more, and we are mighty proud to call them part of our Okefenokee family. Y’all come on back now the swamp has been saving your spot!
It is truly an honor and a privilege to welcome our SMART Veterans back to Okefenokee Pastime. These brave men and women have given so much in service to our great nation, and we believe there’s no better place to rest, recharge, and reconnect with nature than right here in the heart of the Georgia swamp. Whether it’s the stillness of the water, the calls of the wildlife, or just the simple comfort of good company around a fire, we hope every moment here feels like the warm welcome home you deserve.
We are proud to open our gates again to this extraordinary group and we mean it from the bottom of our Southern hearts. Thank you for your service, and thank you for choosing to spend your time with us. We’ll have the coffee on and the porch light burning. Welcome back.
