Okefenokee Pastimes Cabins and Campground
Okefenokee Pastimes is private property. Everyone who enters is a guest. Management reserves the right to refuse entry or require any guest or visitor to leave at any time for violation of rules, unsafe behavior, or conduct that disrupts others. No refunds will be issued in these cases.
Guests accept all risk to themselves, their belongings, vehicles, children, pets, and visitors. The owners and staff are not responsible for injury, illness, loss, or damage. This is a natural outdoor setting with risks that include wildlife, insects, uneven ground, fire, water, and changing weather.
General Information
Camp Store & Restaurant
- Camp Store Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Sunday
- Food service is available Thursday–Saturday in the Restaurant, 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Snacks, drinks, ice, firewood, sunscreen, s’mores kits, and essentials are available in the camp store
Wi-Fi & Technology
- Wi-Fi is provided as a courtesy and is best suited for browsing and email; it is not guaranteed to support streaming or video calls
- We are not responsible for outages, speed, or interruptions
Reservations & Registration
- The registering guest must be at least 18 years old and present at check-in
- Reservations and sites may not be transferred, resold, or sublet to another party without prior approval from management
- Guest count and pet count must match your reservation; maximum occupancy is set at the time of booking

Cabins
- Check-in: As stated on your reservation
- Check-out: 11:00 AM
RV Sites
- Check-in: As stated on your reservation
- Check-out: 11:00 AM
Late check-out is not guaranteed and must be approved in advance.
Quiet Hours
10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Please keep voices, music, generators, and vehicle noise low during quiet hours.
Generators
- Generators may be run during the day; quiet hours restrictions apply and generators must be kept low during 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
- Generator exhaust must be directed away from neighboring sites
- Extended or continuous generator use outside of a power outage requires prior approval from the office
Speed Limit
- 5 MPH speed limit throughout the campground
- Golf carts, UTVs, and similar vehicles may only be operated by licensed drivers 16 years of age or older
- All vehicles must yield to pedestrians at all times
Visitors
- All visitors must check in at the office before entering the park
- Visitors must follow all campground rules and may be asked to leave at any time
Alcohol & Conduct
- Alcohol is permitted throughout the campground
- No excessive drinking, disruptive behavior, public intoxication, or unsafe conduct
- Fighting, arguing, or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated
- Management may require guests or visitors to leave without refund for behavior issues
Firearms & Weapons
- No discharge of firearms or weapons on the property
- Any weapon used or displayed in an unsafe or threatening manner will result in immediate removal
Parking
- Two operational vehicles are allowed per campsite
- Vehicles must be in running condition and parked in designated areas only
- No parking on grass, roads, or vacant sites. Additional Guest parking is available by the office.
- Additional vehicles require prior approval from the office
Fire Safety & Campfires
- Fires are allowed only in designated fire pits
- Never leave fires unattended
- Fully extinguish fires before leaving or turning in for the night
- Firewood must be sourced locally and is available for purchase at the camp store
- No fireworks at any time
Trash & Cleanliness
- Trash must be placed in sealed bags and disposed of in dumpsters near the office
- Do not leave trash outside overnight
- Recycling for aluminum cans is located near the office
- Do not litter anywhere on the property
Site Conditions
- Campsites must be kept clean and orderly at all times
- No outdoor storage of trash, debris, or household items
- Management may require cleanup or removal of items that create safety or appearance issues
- No skirting of trailers is allowed
- Holiday lights and decorations are welcome but may not be attached with nails, screws, or adhesives that damage structures or trees
Glass
No glass is allowed in common areas.
Glass is permitted only inside your cabin or directly at your campsite.
Mail & Packages
We do not accept or hold personal U.S. Mail (USPS letters, first-class mail, etc.) for guests. Okefenokee Pastimes Cabins & Campground is not a mailing address and cannot be used as your permanent or legal mailing address. Guests may not submit a USPS Change of Address form directing mail to this property.
Guests needing a permanent mailing address (especially full-time RVers) should set up one of the following:
- A domicile/mail-forwarding service such as Escapees RV Club (escapees.com) — the standard option for full-time RVers who need a legal address, mail scanning, and forwarding
- A P.O. Box at the local Folkston post office or a nearby UPS Store
We are happy to accept packages (UPS, FedEx, Amazon, etc.) on your behalf during your stay. Please address packages with your name and site number, care of the park:

Packages will be held at the office for pickup. We are not responsible for lost, delayed, stolen, or damaged packages.
Smoking
- No smoking inside any building or cabin
- This includes cabins, bathhouse, laundry room, office, lounge, and recreation hall
- Dispose of cigarette butts properly. Do not throw them on the ground
Pets
- Pets must be leashed and under physical control at all times
- Pick up after your pets immediately. If caught, a $200 fine will be charged and you will no longer be welcome in the park
- Do not leave pets unattended outside
- Dogs may not be left unattended in cabins
Children
- Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times
- Children may not roam the campground unattended
- Parents or guardians are responsible for the behavior and safety of minors
Fishing Pond
- Catch and release only
- Fishing is allowed from sunrise to sunset
- No swimming in the pond
- Guests may purchase food to feed the fish from the camp store
Cabin & Glamping Rules
- No smoking inside cabins or on cabin porches
- No pets left unattended in cabins
- Please respect the cabin and furnishings
- Units must be left in reasonably clean condition. Excessive cleaning required at checkout will incur an additional cleaning fee charged to the card on file
- All linens are inspected after each stay. Guests are responsible for any damage to sheets, blankets, towels, or pillowcases, including stains from makeup, oils, food, or other substances. Items that cannot be restored to original condition will be replaced, and the replacement cost will be charged to the card on file
RV Rules
- One RV per site unless approved by management
- A threaded sewer hose seal is required on all sewer hookups. Available for purchase in the office
- No electric space heaters. Propane heaters only
- No washing of RVs or vehicles on site
- Do not walk or drive through other occupied campsites
- For insurance and liability reasons, park staff cannot move, tow, or reposition guest RVs or trailers. Guests are responsible for positioning their own equipment or contacting a licensed towing service
- During freeze warnings, guests are responsible for protecting their RV water systems (disconnecting hoses, using tank water overnight, etc.) per instructions provided by the office
Drones
Drones may not be flown over the campground, cabins, or fishing pond without prior written approval from management, out of respect for guest privacy and local wildlife.
Photography & Marketing
Okefenokee Pastimes may photograph or film the property for marketing purposes, and guests may occasionally appear incidentally in these images. Guests who prefer not to be photographed should notify the office.
Lost & Found
Items left behind are held for 30 days. We are not responsible for lost, forgotten, or unclaimed items. Guests requesting an item be shipped back to them are responsible for shipping costs.
Emergencies
- In case of emergency, call 911 immediately
- For non-emergency issues, contact park staff during business hours
- Guests are responsible for knowing their location and providing accurate information to emergency responders
Assumption of Risk and Liability
Guests and their visitors use the campground and all facilities at their own risk. Management and ownership are not responsible for injury, damage, loss, or theft involving persons, pets, vehicles, or personal property.
Management reserves the right to refuse entry or evict any person who disregards campground rules. No refunds will be issued in these cases.
